adhesion and adherence are the result of two different mechanisms that can be present both separately and, as more often happens, in coaction:\u00a0<strong>mechanical adhesion<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>chemical adhesion<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0The\u00a0<strong>osmotic or diffusive adhesion<\/strong> also comes into play in the osmotic process.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row row_type=&#8221;row_full_center_content&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;384&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;bottom-to-top&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>MECHANICAL ADHESION\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nMechanical adhesion depends, to a large extent, on the degree of preparation of the substrates, in particular on their degree of cleaning and roughening as well as on their saturation.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;385&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;bottom-to-top&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>CHEMICAL ADHESION<br \/>\n<\/strong>Chemical adhesion, pertaining to molecular interactions, depends on the nature of the adhesive, on its compatibility with the support and, in turn, on the degree of preparation of the surfaces.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;386&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;bottom-to-top&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>OSMOTIC OR DIFFUSIVE ADHESION\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nIn osmotic systems there is also a specific adhesion, which is realized through the two coagent processes, of diffusion and crystalline deposition, often defined osmotic or diffusive, dependent on the &#8220;osmotic capacity&#8221; of the material and, once again, from the level of preparation of the surfaces.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row row_type=&#8221;row_full_center_content&#8221; margin_top=&#8221;0&#8243; padding_top=&#8221;0&#8243;][vc_column][vc_column_text]From the functional framework emerges as a relevant factor, the significant contribution represented by the osmotic adhesion, without prejudice to the importance of the effective &#8220;osmotic capacity&#8221; of the material used and of the correct preparation of the supports which, if lacking, can however compromise the effectiveness of the intervention.<\/p>\n<p>The compatibility between the materials participating in the adhesive process is fundamental in order to avoid detachments by transfer from a stronger material (F) to a weaker material (D).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1164 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.osmocem.com\/file\/2020\/03\/meccanismi-4-300x121-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"121\" \/>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row row_type=&#8221;row_full_center_content&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]The\u00a0<strong>osmotic cementitious compounds<\/strong>\u00a0are produced in two different formulations: mono-component (rigid) and bicomponent (deformable).<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>one-component osmotic cementitious systems<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0osmotic, diffusive and mechanical adhesion is prevalent, while\u00a0\u00a0<strong>in bi-component osmotic cement systems<\/strong>\u00a0, the chemical, mechanical and diffusive adhesion is prevalent.<\/p>\n<p>The choice of a type of two-component coating rather than one-component and with more or less high deformability characteristics, is influenced by the knowledge of the morphology of the work to be coated, its predictable structural behavior, as well as the characteristics of the support.<\/p>\n<p>Compared to single-component systems, the adhesion of chemical \/ mechanical \/ diffusive type combined with a better capacity of deformation, provided by bicomponent systems, assumes particular relevance in the presence of thin structures and \/ or subject to elastic movements.<\/p>\n<p>In the presence of massive, stable (rigid) structures, with adequately prepared supports, the mono-component osmotic may be the most suitable product.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;1168&#8243;
